Health Services

For the wider global community supporting Gibraltar, its’ important strategic location does not just make it the ideal place to do business, the last 12 months enormous world health challenges have heightened the importance of the well-being of our families and local communities, which has always been at the forefront of the people of Gibraltar and remains a priority for Attias Blue Properties.

Gibraltar is served by the Gibraltar Health Authority (GHA) who deliver Primary, Secondary and Mental Health Care for those entitled to access the services through a contributory system called the Group Practice Medical Scheme.

By the beginning of May 2021, Gibraltar’s swift and impressive approach to the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in over 85% of the population and all its 15,000 foreign workers having now been vaccinated, with zero current active cases within the resident population, and a reduction in the restrictions by making the wearing of face masks only obligatory in indoor enclosed public places – giving an indication of what post-pandemic life further afield in Europe could look like.

As the world continually changes and we realign, readjust, and slowly recover, early indications show a strong desire to continue to find opportunities for the Gibraltar community to progress and prosper again as we all redefine our new ‘socially distanced normal’.
